THERE ARE A TON OF QUESTIONS WHEN IT COMES TO STARTING THERAPY.


Psychotherapy is an investment in your wellness and mental health, productivity at work, quality of life, relationships, creativity, and a sense of happiness and fulfillment in life. The benefits of counseling can extend into all parts of your current life and your future.

I have a set fee that I charge for psychotherapy. In case any of the above does not work for you, I am happy to provide you with referrals.

Do you take insurance?

I do not work with any insurance companies directly. Here’s why: all insurance and managed care companies only reimburse for treatment provided to patients diagnosed with a mental disorder. This information might become part of your permanent medical record.

  • Having a mental health diagnosis can make obtaining life insurance difficult, expensive or impossible.

  • In legal disputes, such as divorces and child custody cases your interests can be harmed

  • When your private and personal information is obtained by an insurance company it may be released to medical information databases.

  • Important decisions about our work together will be made by someone who has never met either of us.

Can I use my out of network benefits or flex spending account?

Some people are able to count psychotherapy towards medical expenses on income taxes or use Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)/ Healthcare Spending Account (HSA) to pay for psychotherapy. If you are planning on involving your insurance company or other agencies to pay for your therapy, please check in with them prior to setting an appointment with me.

  • Yes, I am! Please book a consultation here

  • I am exclusively hosting therapy sessions online via ta secure telehealth platform (Zoom, or by phone). With that in mind, I can offer in-person intakes and sessions. Let’s discuss. My practice is based out of Oakland, California.

  • I work with my clients on a weekly basis. Individual sessions are 50 min length, however sessions may go beyond depending on need and type of service rendered. When you work with me, I provide a dedicated date and time just for you. Your consistent participation greatly contributes to your success. Due to the varying nature and severity of problems and each patient’s individuality, I cannot predict the length of your therapy or guarantee a specific outcome or result. Services can end at any time or when you feel you’ve reached a place of wellbeing. Many clients stay until they achieve pregnancy, and others choose to stay through the postpartum period before ending therapy.

  • Cash payment via Zelle is accepted. Payment is due at time of your session.

  • 24 hour notice of cancellation is required for no charge. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of appointment, the full rate will be charged. Any no shows or late cancellations will be charged the full rate. This is not negotiable.

  • I see California residents for individual and grief therapy. Intended parent evaluations are available to California residents and beyond. Coaching is available for anyone, worldwide.

  • My clientele range in age from ages 27 and up. Most clients I see are either in their mid to late 30’s or over 50 years old.

  • Of course! In addition to serving women, I strive to support men struggling with grief & loss, issues around infertility, and direction after significant life stressors.

  • In our first few sessions, we will be talking about your past, present, and future: experiences you have had; how they are impacting you now; and what you want to do, be, and have by the end of our time together.

    Once we have that established, our sessions will involve lots of unpacking: opening up your baggage, airing it out, and deciding what you want to keep with you, and what you want to let go of as we upgrade your operating system.

    Through our relationship, you will be able to confront what has been holding you back, keeping you small, and playing it safe to then create a “ripple effect” that will cascade throughout all aspects of your life: with your parents, partners, peers, and so on.

  • In order to build momentum and create real change, I will assign my clients “homework” that complements what we are doing in sessions. But have no fear – these homework assignments are amazing.

    I have my clients listen to podcasts related to mental health, read books about things that come up in session, or tune into comedy specials on Netflix or relevant TED Talks. That way, in addition to the hour we spend in therapy, my clients are spending some of the remaining 167 hours per week taking action to create real and lasting change.

    I’ve also benefitted immensely from devouring books, movies, shows, and other content that complemented my therapeutic work and am enthused about doing the same for my clients.
