FEES & INSURANCE

THERAPY IS A COMMITMENT. IT TAKES TIME AND MONEY.

It involves putting in work in and out of session, and being real with your therapist and yourself, even when it's hard and uncomfortable.

Therapy also allows you the experience of empowering yourself to heal, grow, and change your life.

If you've made the decision to start therapy, you're ready to do this thing. And we're ready to do this thing with you.

  • Intake/Initial Evaluation (one 60 minute session) - intake sessions are offered via telehealth ($275) or an outdoor session ($300)

    Follow-up therapy sessions:

    50 minute telehealth session: $250

50 minute outdoor therapy session: $275

While I am not in network with any insurance plans, I provide documentation (also called a superbill) for out-of-network benefits on a monthly basis. If you plan on using out of network benefits, it is important to contact your insurance company in advance to learn more about the specifics of your plan and how to submit for reimbursement. HSA and FSA plans can also be used to pay for sessions.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. I am not in-network with any health insurance plans and therefore I am considered an out-of-network provider. This means I do not have an agreement or contract with your insurance plan to provide services.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give people who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask me, and any other healthcare provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visitwww.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • Therapy involves a shared commitment to a weekly session time. To cancel your appointment and avoid incurring a fee, 24 hours notice is required. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or miss your appointment entirely, you are financially responsible for the full cost of the session.

  • As part of our work, you may ask me to complete forms or letters on your behalf. Should you make such a request, a release form will be required with specific information regarding what and with whom you would like information to be shared.

General forms or letters requiring less than 15 minutes for completion are provided free of charge. More complex requests are billed in 15 minute increments at my hourly rate of $250.on
